OUR DRIVE TOMORROW FROM RIXENSART TO STADE IN GERMANY
Thursday we will drive almost 600 km from Rixensart to STADE. This is a town 45 km south-west of Hamburg. It is one of the League of ca. 70 Hanseatic cities from the Middle Ages. They dominated trade and the economy in the north of Europe for centuries. Denmark had the "pleasure" of being at war with them many times. But they are also helpful, when the Danes (and others) often needed money. The map shows our planned trip tomorrow - via Aachen, Düsseldorf, Wuppertal and Bremen to STADE. We will enjoy life there for a couple of days. Have a look to see how wonderful this town is:
